My Green Tree Python

Hey Amanda, thought I would post them pics up for ya since you couldn;t get to them yesterday!

But this is My Verdi.....as a baby......



He is now just over a year old.
Here he is just a couple months ago..............

How come seeing this picture of your snake doesnt freak me out but other pictures do??? LOL

Cuz he's yellow and green and just too cool to be freaked out by!!

WOW, And I always thought girls were afraid of snakes.

Well I don't mind the little ones but I don't like them near my face! I'm not scared of them, just don't like most of them! But I love my buddy Verdi, stole him from the hubby!

I think that green color is cool! I really like that color!

I have only seen photo's of the red ones, would love to have one, they are so cool. I think by far these are my favorite type of snake. I mean come on, who doesn;t think a snake that changes colors is cool? LOL Not to mention they feel like a silk ribbon running through your fingers! I have read that most of the green tree pythons tend to be snippy and not very handleable, we got VERY lucky with Verdi, he's always been pretty nice and calm!

Ya i heard that too, Thats why i want one but then don't.... just cuz i heard that they are evil... I want a red one... But i think they go green dont they??

I do believe they all turn green at around a year of age. I have also heard of a different species that keeps turning different colors until about the age of 4 I think, I will have to ask my buddy about that though, so don;t quote me. LOL But yes they are more of a look at snake, not like a red tail. But they are awesome just to look at though, the way the curl around the branch is just too cool! Heres a pics I took just today.....
I don't know if you can tell, but he's not wrapped around the branch but looped over and back and couple times.

Thats what i love about the GTP... They just "hang around" hahaha.... They are so pretty tho...

Snakes facinate me. I'm scared to death to go out into the amazon and see a real life Anaconda... and I wouldn't have a snake in my house (good for you guys though!) But I'm still fascinated by them!
