| Well we've gotten Taz started on the jug, now I'm wondering where to go with him as far as more weight, how do you gradually increase a pup, and what do you use after the jug. lol |

| I bought weight plates. They have anywhere from 2.5lbs on up. |

I have already told you what I do but I would get some dumb bells ranging in size and let them work with them. I think the plates are also good. I had one pull a tire while in training lol and it worked out kind of good, one of my girls die hard hated tires so she would pull them like crazy lol. |

| The thing about the plates is that they slide very easy. Also I wasnt sure of the age of your puppy but Switch at 3 months can easily drag a 2.5lb plate. The only thing about the dumbells is getting them to roll straight!! |

Taz is 12 weeks old. He pulls around the 7.5 lb plates pretty easily when he wants to. lol We drop him back down a little when we cool him down. Right now he's pullin it around the house....lol It's been too muddy and wet outside.
Basically all I'm doin right now is tryin to get him to get use to the weight. |

| Chelle thats exactly what you should do. Thats all we are doing with Switch. Just letting him know there is weight back there and he can pull it, nothing to be afraid of. Again its alot mental. As far as Legend, he will dictate the weight. If you are looking to actually begin training on a serious note, find a weight he can pull comfortably. Make 3 passes with this weight. GIve 3-5 minute break and Increase weight. Make 3 passes Repeat until you find a tough weight that he is still pulling. WRITE DOWN THE WEIGHT FOR FUTURE REFERANCE Quit BEFORE HE DOES Repeat with the same weights until you reach you final increase and now he is pulling it comfortably. Remember you are just training. Dont allow him to stop, hesitate or get distracted. If he does pull him through and back off the weight. Do more pulls at a lesser weight. |
