AmStaff Qs

Okay I know I'm being really inquisitive today. lol. I have been chit chatting away its been rainy here. Well I was talking to someone and they said that AmStaff's can be aggressive toward strangers and are guarddog/watchdogs......Huh?....I thought that amstaffs are the very similiar if not the same breed as the APBTs? So I looked it up. And there it was under house and family relations http://www.petplace.com/dogs/choosing-an-american-staffordshire-terrier/page1.aspx
Is this true or a typo?
Another thing why is red noses not accepted in AmStaffs?

Red noses are accepted by the AKC:

The akc show pit are considered staffs, in my opinion pits and staffs are the same with a few variations in structure such as the head and staffs are thicker boned. UKC accepts the staff as pits!

All my dogs have the more showy look then game look but i have noticed that midas doesn't like men. Basically because there are no men in the house so when he sees one he thinks it's a no no lol. They are all very protective just like any other pit but once i okay someone they are cool (except Midas, I have to tell him a few times that the men are okay lol).

Gemyni doesnt like too many men either. She was beat into submission before I got her. The guy's excuse was Oh she's bad I beat her @$$ when she's bad. (Gemyni was suppose to go to my Uncle but b/c of that she's w/ me)

But she's coming around. I noticed too that Legend has started paying extra attention when Gemyni's around men. I'm guessing he can feel her nervousness.

Yep he can! If he felt she thought she was in trouble i'm sure he would protect her to his death. As she gets older she will forget that bad man and with you socializing her she'll be okay. I spank mine but not to the point that they are fearing my hand!

Oh I know Legend would tear into to someone over his beloved Gemmi! Them too are in LOVE I tell ya! lol. She's good with men outside and will go up and wag her tail. Inside I don't know if she feels trapped and like oh god if he hits me nowhere to run. But shes met all of my uncles cousins brothers and my ex boyfriend. And has no problem with them. Others she's still unsure about and sometimes she'll bark at some men outside. Which is a no-no. I don't like it at all and she's corrected. I can understand spanking but beating is far from spanking! If you would have seen her the day I got her. U would have been furious! I was so P.O'd I started crying!

Luke (Bullybabe) is Larums bloodline I think.

I had thought about going larums at one point to but she had nothing on her yard available. Lots of good stuff to go with out there lol. Sometimes i have to not look to keep the temptation down. I know next summer when everyone has their litters on the ground I'm gonna be praying mine is on the ground to other wise i'll be having a fit trying to fight temptation!

BTW I like that chocolate brookville female, I soooooooooo want a pup off her lol.

I get sooooo tempted all the time! lol. Thats the reason I ended up w/ Gem. But I just couldnt leave her. My Ex used to basically drag me away from APBT pups kicking and screaming! lol
