- Last night I was looking at some kennels, one of the kennels I was looking at was Megapitbulls. I sent them an email asking what they charged for stud service with Hypnotic. When I got a reply, I think I deleted it just as fast as I opened it! They wanted 1,500.00 why in the world would someone pay 1,500.00 for stud service?? Better yet, why would someone charge that much??
For the ones that have kennels, how much would you or do you charge for stud service? Because honestly every member on here that has kennels...1.)has better looking dogs...2.) Has reasonable prices and 3.) attitudes are so MUCH better! Meaning your not rude with people and you dont think your to good to speak to someone just because your a breeder. I sent an email once to a kennel, I had a few questions...pffftt never got a return! Honestly, i don't think 1500 for the right ped or quality is a bad price. You get to sell a whole litter of pups, think about it if you pay someone 1500, and you sell 10 pups for 300 a piece that's 3 grand. I would have to look at the dogs pedigree and what he has to offer before I made the decision that 1500 wasn't a legit pricing for stud fee. Ok now to answer your question. For the ones that have kennels, how much would you or do you charge for stud service? Depends, I usually do pup deals back, but your dog will need to be brucellosis tested, and also will have to have an approved pedigree. I see no point in me doing the breeding if I don't want pups though. | |

| I dont think that 1500.00 is that bad either..heck I paid that for Chico and If I aint asking for a puppy back then I am going to ask what my dog is Worth... But Chicos stud fee without any pups is 800.00 but I think I will always want a pup back too.. | |

| Depends on the dog and the ped. I've seen Hypnotic. He's a super bully. If you think $1,500 is high.... you haven't been on the EE board. They have stud for up to $3,000, pup as high as $3,800, and adult male and females for for upt o $7,000. Now that rediculous and people this money I can build that bomb as kennel OFK post on another thread for that much money! Depending on how Hemi does with w/p he'll his fee will range between around $600 and $300 for people I know and trust. To me its more about producing awesome dog to great people more than making money. | |

Thats what I mean, everyone is trying to get as much money as possible, and sometimes I think that's all they are conserned with. Not anyone on this board, but come on honestly why charge that much? 7000.00 for an adult dog?? Powerline kennels wanted 2000.00 for stud service with Blue ace. I honestly (after thinking about it and before reading the post) might consider paying 1,500.00 for stud service, just depends on the pedigree. But I wont go any higher and I definetly wouldnt pay 7000.00 dollars for dog, I could use that kind of money and try to make a really nice kennel setup.
Sorry about the Red text, quote doesnt seem to work for me...lol. |

| You guys do understand that the stud fee is set at the price of one pup usually! If you studding to this dog and he gives you a litter of 10 pups you make nine times what you paid! |

| Dang that price is kinda crazy that bully stuff is way out of my price range, i think i'll stick with my gamebred dogs they don't go that high, i didn't even pay that for my straight Boudreaux dogs. But i guess if they can easily get those kinda prices more power to them, but they won't get my business. | |
