I dont know. I HEARD that alot of the preventative's have safety net of a month. So say in January you gave your dog its HP and February you forgot. You can resume as normal in march....But like I said I have heard that so not sure how true it is.

no point in giving two at one time. If you're buddy is worried about missing a month, tell him to pick up Ivermect. Alot less expensive, you give it once a month, and it kills everything parasitic in the body including heartworm. We use it on all of our dogs as a heartworm preventative, and I know for sure that it works and kills it.

Buddy of mine had a 5 year old female, eat up with heartworm, he treated her with the Ivermect, and after a few months they were completely gone.

LOL I loved working and having internet, when I lived in NH I worked for a place called Net-Temps, (an online job posting site like monster, hot jobs etc) I had a great boss, and great people I worked with, everyone was on messenger, and cruising websites when there was nothing to do. On the other hand, Jer kept me laughin most the day and people thought I was NUTSO!

We also use ivermectin and works wonders !!! Never had a problem with any type of worms or heartworm. Much cheaper too.

As long as you dont miss several months in a row you are PERFECTLY fine to go back to the normal routine.
