| It is key that you make sure she is not pushing him away and that is is nursing. It is super important that if she is pushing it away that you keep that puppy WARM !!!! Once a puppy's body temperature drops, its very hard to get it back up and tha chance of that puppy making it is slim. | |

| actually you have to be kind of careful with heating pads when the pups are little beacsue they cant move around very well and they cant regualte thier body temperature they can get burned or overheat really easily if laying ona heating pad... space heater are alot better but also make sure they are high enough that they do not blow directly on the pup and that it does not get knocked over... But for short peiods of time adn under obsevation Yes Heating pads are great... But its definaltey importnat to keep the pups temp up becasue when the temp drops not only does the mother try to puch the pup away.. also the puppy if the mother is forced to feed it cannot digest properly and get really colicly (sp) and stop eating on its on even when put on the nipple... Its really touchy but yes the most important thing is KEEP THEM WARM!!... | |
