Ok so we just got back last night from our first NKC show of the year. I took Bailey, Rebel, and Switch. I was really nervous as I hadnt worked them at all since November. With the move and all thats happened lately I just never got to work them. I didnt even know what they weighed!! There were nearly 80 dogs in the weight pull and near 50 or better in conformation.
Bailey had Championed out last year in WP so this was her first pull in the CH class. HOWEVER----20 minutes before the show started I walked her out and noticed something,,,,,,,,,,,,,blood, thats right she went in heat and just started bleeding right before the show so I didnt pull her.
Switch weighed in at 50lbs. He pulled good and hard wich thrilled me. He ended up taking a 1st in his weight class. He went on to take the BODY POUND TROPHY for the 54lb and under division. He pulled 6063lbd, 121x his body weight and I pulled him out with no fouls. I didnt keep pulling him because he had already won everything he could and no need to hurt him or mess him up.
Rebel weighed in at 55lbs. He also pulled great taking a 1st in his weight class also. His class was VERY TOUGH as there were 11 dogs, several of which were very good. It came down to time as he and another dog made the same pull for their last pull, he just did it faster!!. He pulled 6763lbs, 123x his body weight. He also won the BODY POUND TROPHY for the 55lb and over class!!!!
Sunday in conformation Switch took BEST MALE in his age group.
Rebel also took BEST MALE in his age group so when they had BEST MALE IN SHOW it was between Rebel, Switch and Blu Jax. Rebel won Best MAle In SHOw and Switch took RESERVE MALE!!!!!
With this win Rebel became a SHOW CHAMPION!!!!!! He now has 96 points in WP and just needs 4 more to be a WP CH.
Switch has 100 points in show and just needs another major to be a SHOW CH. He also now has 76 points in WP in just 4 shows!!!
