Ear Cropping

How much does your vet charge and what are the age limits?

My "vet" charges 95, but I can get it done for roughly 60 from a guy here in tn that's been doing it for years and years.

I don't think there is an age limit though I maybe wrong.

I haven't personally gotten anything done with him yet, but I'm going to, I've seen his work, he's awesome.

I hope Anna doesn't mind me saying. Jon did Mya's ears as well. And they are gorgeous!

He's done several of his own dogs ears, several other kennels ears, and I am going to take Taz and Cynder there as well. He's got a military surgery background, and all dogs are sedated before the surgery. Give him a call if your intrested and I'm sure he'll hook you up.

my vet charges 125.00 but they have to be under 6 months old....there is another vet about 30 minutes from here that used to do it for 100.00 and they didnt have a age limit but he stopped cropping for some reason I called nad asked him if he would consider doing chapparras for me and he said that he had been considering doing it again and if he did he would let me know, he done Chatos and Chicos and Pequenos ...

Around here they charge 250 and better and they will do dogs over 6 months for more. I go to grand avenue in chicago he usually charges between 100-150 does a pretty good job to. Only one I really didn't like was Silver's but all the others were really nice. He did kikie, luna, chaka, viva and silver for me.

Don't mind at all Chelle, gotta give credit where credit is due I agree Jon does an AWESOME job!! I would drive the 14 hour one way trip for him to do any of my dogs ears! We drilled him with questions before we let him do Mya's, we have seen so many bad jobs and heard even more horror stories, that I wanted to make sure my baby would get the best of care We highly recommend Jon! he's an awesome guy too!

Chelle, when ya go have Jon do the ears, Nick said to tell him we said hi!

Wow!!! I called a vet and it was $400!!!! I was like, I dont have that kinda money after spending $550 on Pantera... And her mom and dad were natural, so meh.....

Most of the vets in my area don't do ear cropping anymore. The one vet that is very money hungery still does it but your gonna pay dearly for it about 350.00 The guy is nuts with his prices. Puppy shots are like 50$ and then he charges an office visit too of 25$ then the wormer is another charge when you can go down the road get the shots and wormer and all checked out foe 12$. Nueters are 45-60$ and spays are 55-100$.

Its 350 here and they have to be under 6 months of age. Any older and they wont do it.

For the pup I just got, it's gonna cost me $250 because she is 5 months. Its noramally $175.

Do you think it would be allowed to go to the states and have Pantera done there??? I can bring her out of the province, I just have to bring her back in 3 months....

We can do them depending on the age and weight anywhere from $60 to $120.

Hey Like I said gotta give credit where credit is due! I love Mya's ears, you guys did an awesome job with them and with bringing that beauty into the world! Glad to see you made it to the board! Welcome!

Mya is doing fantastic!! She got to go the vet yesterday to get her Rabies shot. The vet said she's perfect! She will hopefully be going to a UKC show on Feb 16,17, and 18. She is now old enough to start earning her points twards champion!

We picked her up a new buddy a few weeks ago and she adores him, constantly bugging him to play tug-a-war! LOL Worst part is when they use socks! Lost count on how many they have shredded! LOL

She also LOVES the snow!

Looking good Anna. I can't wait for the show I think we are gonna have more fun just acting silly then actually showing and stuff but it's gonna be a blast!!

Yea I think so too LOL everybody'll think we're all insane!
